Pack 3 CHUTNEYS. The chinata.
This case of three Chutneys made with EVOO are the perfect combination to give a bittersweet touch to all your recipes.
Chutneys originate from India, although it was possibly the British, who were very consumers of this majar, who were responsible for spreading this delicacy around the world after their colonial past.
What do they taste like?
For those who have not tried them, it is a mix between pickles and jams and they are very tasty. And with this beautiful case it is ideal for giving as a gift.
All three are made with their main ingredient as well as white wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, sugar, salt and spices such as mustard and cloves.
What dishes does it pair best with?
To savor them, we recommend using them as an accompaniment to meats, vegetables or pastas as well as to add to sauces, vinaigrettes or stews or simply for a snack with our pâtés and cheese creams on our Regañás.
If we want to get the combination right, tomato is best for pasta dishes, rice salads and especially strong cheeses.
For its part, the olive variety is recommended with grilled or grilled vegetables, white fish or simply with bread or accompanied by some meat pate.
And finally, the mango and apple variety combines very well with poultry and fatty products such as Iberian pork or foie.
Origin
Chutney is a word that comes from the Hindi term “chatni” which means “to crush” and is related to the meaning of “finger-licking.”
There is a more traditional version of the recipe that is based on preparation without cooking, through solar fermentation. But today the most common is by subjecting it to temperature because its conservation is much better.
